What's in a Toronto Deep Clean (And What's Not)
The deep clean scope goes beyond regular visits. Here's what's in:
- Kitchen: Inside oven, inside microwave, range hood degrease, backsplash scrub, inside fridge (shelves + drawers + gasket), behind and under appliances (pulled if accessible), cabinet fronts, handles sanitized
- Bathrooms: Tile grout treatment, tub and shower descale, toilet base and tank exterior, exhaust fan dust, medicine cabinet interior, light fixtures
- Living areas: All baseboards, window sills and tracks (including interior of window frame), ceiling fan blades, light fixtures, door frames and knobs, switches and outlets
- Floors: Full vacuum, mop with appropriate product, edges and corners
- Bonus: Inside of light fixtures, top of cabinets, interior of glass shower doors, inside washing machine gasket
What's not in a deep clean: window exterior, carpet shampoo, furniture move-and-clean (we clean around, not under large furniture unless you move it first), and full duct cleaning. Those are separate services across Toronto.
How Often Should You Deep Clean in Toronto?
Twice a year is the standard recommendation. The rhythm most Toronto clients settle into:
- Spring — after winter, when windows start opening and you notice the dust that settled all season
- Fall — before holiday hosting, when you want the downtown Toronto home at its best for guests
Some clients add a summer reset if the Toronto pollen season hits hard (CityPlace and Liberty Village are particularly affected). Others do a post-reno deep after minor renovation work leaves fine dust throughout.
